  I paid Randy Hartman and the Cabinet Company just under $200,000 for the complete renovation of a house I bought on Lake Conroe. The cabinets were of inferior quality but more significant was the complete lack of Craftsmansip displayed in the installation. All of the appliances installed under the cabinets were compromised because the cabinets were not installed at the minimum conventional elevation and half of the 'self closing' drawers did not close fully - and this is the Cabinet Company's "core business". Everything else done was of much poorer quality. Sensing that Randy was having cash-flow problems (with other projects) I (stupidly) agreed to pay him more retention than could be justified by remaining work - and that is the last time he has ever responded to me. After months of unanswered communications his wife con firmed that Randy had no intention of completing the work he had been paid for and that I should seek another contractor to complete this work. I have contracted other contractors to complete the work Randy was paid to do and to fix the shoddy work he did do and will pursue legal action against Randy Hartman when all of the work has been done and a final cost can be established. Based on my experience with Randy and the Cabinet Company, the nicest thing I can say about Randy Hartman is that he is unskilled in the Building Trades and equally deficient in Proffesional Morals & Ethics and basic Christian Values.
